Wednsday June 18th, 2003:

Version 0.2.6-1 was released today, and is much improved over the last version. This time, it allows for RPM arching, so you can build for multiple platforms, and also PACKAGER and VENDOR fields. Filenames have also been fixed in which they wouldnt work. But the biggest part of this release is the ability to run without root. One configuration is needed as root by running grpmbuilder -c, than after that gRpmBuilder can be run with any user!!! Some other minor bugs were corrected in this version as well.

Sorry for the lack of responces, ive been gone. I decided not to release 0.2.4 so early, and instead improve it alot. Since then ive fixed many bugs that would have been released in the 0.2.4 version and added a new kind of RPM for single exectuable installs. I have also recrutied Chris Vestal who will be providing some improved graphics for the next version.

Version 0.2.4 is coming soon! This will be the greatest release yet, featuring many bug fixes, improved coding, even nicer interface, and the ability to save and preferences files. A new type of rpm will also be featured in this release, for single exectuable installations

A new-version was recently released, with a much improved gnome interface and the ability to easily be upgraded. This version was released buggy, and many bugs are being fixed in 0.2.2. I have already started and fixed a few bugs, and am now currently fixing more. Planned release soon.

Today the project was accepted under sourceforge, and the ALPHA first-release was put up in .tar.gz format and .rpm & src.rpm (of course both made with grpmbuilder :) ) The program is still a bit buggy, but usuable. For installation instructions click here
